| nighthill history the town was founded in 1858 by walter nighthill, a very rich and powerful man who had by all appearances struck it rich mining for gold in california. his good fortune wasn't pure luck, as he and his hired men murdered a group of scavengers who'd found the gold before them. he launched nighthill and renamed it after himself, burying the history for no one to find. unbeknownst to walter, there had been a survivor. this survivor was invovled with the occult and decided to put a troublesome mystic spell on the town hoping it'd result in the death of the town and nighthill. the town flourished but his position as mayor had been cursed and everyone to take up the position in the following years found themselves cursed as well. the longest living mayor of nighthill was a woman named georgette hawkins who served from 1980 to 1985. that was before the bee swarm got her..
everyone forgets about nighthill. why isn't the rest of the world talking about such a unique town? because once someone is at least a mile outside of nighthill they completely forget about all of the weird occurences they experienced there. residents who post on social media, tiktok and youtube are seen as fictional accounts to the outside world. fun? yes! but fictional. geography nighthill is located where eureka, california is located. no, the town isn't the same and this isn't a eureka community. for the sake of nighthill and knowing where it is on the map, this is where it is while eureka simply doesn't exist in this universe. |

| ★ nighthill pd not as corrupt as most police departments but they have deep issues. many officers cannot handle the issues that plague the town and do the bare minimum. a few left still care, but there's not much motivating this police department anymore. this job has the highest mortality rate of any other occupation in nighthill. ★ nighthill medical center the town hospital is the biggest building in the area for obvious reasons. it was built in 2010 after the chupacabra attack of 2009. they realized then that the old hospital was far too small for such an unpredictable town. working as a doctor or nurse is a guaranteed job in nighthill and they are always in demand. ★ nighthill fire department these firefighters are always looking for new recruits to keep the town fire free. there's a dragon or two every year and not once have they had one fly through that doesn't breathe fire. this occupation has the second highest mortality rate in nighthill. ★ blossom library this is the town's official library and it's funded completely by tax payers. it is located in the night district and occupies one of the town's oldest buildings, built in 1878. one day every single month is a terror for anyone working or checking out books as the books gain personalities of their own, biting as if they're feral animals. unfortunately that day can be any day of the month and is completely unpredictable. ★ city hall parks department, etc ★ the mayor's mansion the mayor's mansion sits in north hill with a perfectly landscaped five acres surrounding it. it's the home to an annual party called 'the mayor's party' and a large but always offbeat staff. ★ nighthill cemetery ★ st. francis cathedral local church ★ nighthill zoo the local zoo is as chaotic as you'd expect it to be. |

| ★ nighhill elementary grades 1 - 5 ★ nighthill middle grades 6 - 8 ★ nighthill north high grades 9 - 12, located in the north hill neighborhood. this is the newer of the two schools and holds most of the town's affluent teens. historically, they've looked down at kids who go to nighthill south as being poor even if that's not the case. their schools have been rivals ever since north was built and launced in 1992 and their annual football game against one another is one of the town's biggest events. ★ nighthill south high grades 9 - 12, located in the red lake neighborhood. ★ nighthill university the college years |
